A Research-Based Framework and Course for Leaders

This page showcases my book Building Resilience in Rural Emergency Response Systems, which was born from scouring the works of experts in the field and countless hours of qualitative and quantitative research.

The book introduces the Integrated Community Approach to Sustainable Emergency Response in Rural Regions (ICASERRR™) framework — a model I developed to help small communities enhance emergency preparedness, response, and recovery by strengthening local networks, capabilities, and long-term strategy.

Rooted in theory and enriched by more than two decades decade of strategic leadership experience, and hands-on experience in emergency management, this work offers practical insights for emergency services professionals, community leaders, and policy influencers navigating the complex realities of rural disaster response.

📚 The Book

Building Resilience in Rural Emergency Response Systems explores leadership models, community-based capacity building, and the critical role of social capital. It integrates research, field experience, and case examples to guide decision-makers in implementing sustainable strategies.
